What you should know

You must hold a Valid Provisional Driving Licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland.
An Approved Driving Instructor has the knowledge and experience to teach you properly from the begining to ensure that you have the driving skills to keep youself and other road users safe.
One of the most frequently asked questions is "how many lessons will I need before I can do my test",  the Driving Standards Agency says to allow at least 45 hours (Instructor training) + another 22 hours private practice, remember that everyone is different and some might take longer than others to learn.
One of the things you might hear especially from an older person is that they learnt to drive in 10 lessons, remember that driving standards have increased a lot over the years and the standards now are a lot higher.
